Originally formed in the fall of 1997, The BLU RAZOR Band has a basic approach to live music.....to play the blues from their soul. The current members have been performing steadily since December, 1999. There constant emphasis on creativity has allowed them the flexibility to write original tunes that fit their musical talent. And talented they are. All are life long musicians. They each have a unique sense of what it means to have the ability to play, and they take advantage of it. In February, 2001, they had the opportunity to compete at the River City Blues Competition in Marietta, Ohio. After taking first place among a field of 17, they went on to compete at the International Blues Challenge, in Memphis, Tennessee making it to the Semi finals. The BLU RAZOR Band has a blues sound for both the new generation and the hard core blues enthusiast.

Here's a brief description of the band members.

.

ZACHERY TYLER ANDERSON - Lead vocals, guitar, slide guitar. Zach has had the privilege of being involved with such acts in the past at "A.B.Z. Band", "Wheels of Steel", and "The Zach Tyler Band". Zach has a wide variety of guitar sounds and styles ranging from subtle Clapton/King moans, to screams and cries along the lines of Hendrix, Stevie Ray, and Johnny Winter.

JOE BRADLEY - Lead/rhythm guitar, lead/backing vocals.

.

SCOTT GRIEDEL (SCOTT VON GRUDEL) - Drums, percussion. Scott is considered to be one of the best drummers ever to come out of Western Pennsylvania. He combines the use of acoustic drums with many other percussion instruments. Scott has been the driving force in many bands like "The Instigators", "The Prowlers", "Full Impact", etc. just to name a few. His style is unmatched and hard to touch. Some can't believe that it's only one guy back there playing the drum rig.

.

BARRY A. ROWE - Bass guitar, lead/backing vocals. Barry has been seen performing with many local bands, too many to even list? Barry has also worked as a studio musician providing exciting bass lines for a wide variety of acts. Barry lays down the foundation of "Bottom End" in the rhythm section of blues.
